Snark SN-5 works on a banjo too! 8/31/2015Vince from Albany, Oregon
Even though the Snark SN-5 is advertised as a tuner for guitar, bass and violin, it also works perfectly on my banjo, tuning it to gDGBD while clipped onto the headstock. The display is very bright and easy to read, and I will probably buy another one for my mandolin (which uses the same tuning as a violin). Great product! I recommend it!

Great little tuner 1/7/2015Marconelli from Eastsound, WA
I've used Snark tuners for some years now, with great results. My only complaint is that they're a bit delicate -- if you drop one, it might break its swivel socket, or its circuitry might go haywire. (I've had both happen.) My solution has been to replace my broken SN-2's with SN-5's -- they're a little cheaper (since they lack some of SN-2 inessential features) but are a more discreet black color. Snarks are the way to go.

LOOKS GOOD AND SHOULD WORK WELL 4/25/2012Cedric Ward from Athol, ID
Haven't tried it out on my guitar yet, but it looks to be well made and is smaller than you would think from its picture. Has lots of features that should help you with several keys and instruments. Not ugly at all in black. Should be better than my pitch pipe if the batteries don't die quickly, but has auto off feature that should help with that
